The heartbeat of the business community
|
We continue to navigate our new normal with COVID-19 and what it means for Calgary businesses and our wider community. It can be hard not to focus on the negative, however this pandemic is bringing out the best of Calgarians as we work through this crisis together.
We are talking to our members on a daily basis, supporting them by sharing resources and information or simply just listening. We've heard from members like Hippo Hug, who have shifted operation to sew masks. Annex Ales, along with many more breweries and distilleries are making hand sanitizer. Calgary Co-op has increased their hourly wage to support front line workers. Headversity is offering a discount on their mental health and counselling services. And Inspired HR is offering complementary consulting calls to support businesses with any HR needs.
With examples like this it is hard to not see the good in what everyday Calgarians are doing to support each other and get through COVID-19. We want to hear your encouraging and positive stories, share them online using the hashtag #Here4YYC or send us an email at membership@calgarychamber.com.
