#BlackOutTuesday

Dear Chamber Members,

Today, we are silent on our social media channels. We are silent in order to make room for the voices that need to be heard. We are silent as we stand against racism and in respect of #BlackOutTuesday.

Launched by Black music executives Jamila Thomas and Brianna Agyemang, #BlackOutTuesday is an intentional disruption of business as usual in response to the racism and inequality that permeates every aspect of society.

As a team and as an organization, we recognize the long-standing inequality that exists in our city, province, and country. We remain committed to building a vibrant, inclusive and diverse community, with business playing a key role.

Our journey to redouble those efforts begins today, by making space for other voices to be heard.
